What this is, and why it matters
DPDP Guard is a compliance platform for India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA). It gives organizations (Data Fiduciaries) the tools to collect and manage consent, respond to rights requests, run grievance workflows, and prove compliance — and gives the people whose data they hold (Data Principals) a way to see and exercise their rights.
Before diving into a specific workflow, it helps to know which of the three roles you’re in, since each one sees a completely different part of the product.
The three roles

Data Principal — you’re a person whose personal data an organization holds. You see a dashboard scoped to your own consents and requests: view your consent history, exercise your rights (access, correct, erase), raise a grievance, or manage a nominee. Start here: Viewing your consent history.

Fiduciary Admin / DPO — you work for the organization collecting the data. Fiduciary Admins configure the consent banner, notices, and organization setup; DPOs focus on rights, grievances, and risk & governance workflows and don’t have setup access.
